Roger Federer has dropped four places to No 15 in the latest ATP rankings, having exited the top 10 last week.

The 40-year-old Swiss is sidelined with a right knee injury and has not played since a straight sets quarter-final defeat to Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz at Wimbledon in July.

Federer dropping four spots means Great Britain’s Cameron Norrie, a recent winner at Indian Wells, and Italy’s Jannik Sinner, who won the European Open, move ahead of the Swiss great.

Norrie is now at a career-high ranking of No 14 and Sinner at a best-ever No 11.
