Andy Murray’s run at the European Open in Antwerp was ended by Diego Schwartzman on Thursday.

Schwartzman, the world No 14, won a bruising encounter 6-4, 7-6 (8/6) in two hours and 13 minutes.
Murray appeared in control in the early exchanges, leading 4-1 in the first set before Schwartzman won five straight games to take the first set.
The Argentine went up 4-2 in the second set but a late fightback from Murray forced a decider, which went Schwartzman’s way.
It was a bruising baseline battle and perhaps Murray’s hard-fought first round win over American Frances Tiafoe – the longest three-set match of the year – took its toll.
Second seed Schwartzman will face either American Brandon Nakashima or Swiss Henri Laaksonen in the quarter-finals.
