World No 1 Novak Djokovic has had a stellar year, winning three Grand Slams at the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon.
He came oh-co-close to achieving the calendar Grand Slam but lost in the US Open final to Russia’s Daniil Medvedev.
Tennis Opinion Worldwide takes a look at Djokovic’s racquet of choice.
It’s well known that Djokovic endorses the HEAD Graphene 360+ Speed Pro racquet.
However, it’s not the racquet he actually plays with. As is the case with many pros, Djokovic uses a Pro Stock frame which is a HEAD racquet called PT113B.
The PT113B is different in its specifications to the HEAD Graphene 360+ Speed Pro but is painted to look similar. This is done in order to help HEAD sell their line of HEAD Graphene 360+ Speed Pro racquets.
The PT113B is not a racquet you can buy in stores and is made specifically for Djokovic. HEAD bases it on a mould of the Ti/iRadical MP which they sold in the early 2000s.
RACQUET SPECS
Djokovic’s PT113B is 95 square inches – smaller than the 100 square inch HEAD Graphene 360+ Speed Pro.
It’s 27.10 inches in length, weighs just over 350 grams when strung and has a swing weight of 360.
It has a balance of 344mm and an 18×19 string pattern.
Djokovic’s grip is 4 3/8″.
